Author Info: Born and bred in the Idyllic environment of Monierkhal Tea Garden of Cachar district, his birthplace, Dr. Dipankar Kar had his primary level schooling from the LP School of the Tea Garden. Thereafter, he went to Silchar,Adharchand High School, an institution of great repute and after his matriculation from there he went to Gurucharan College, Silchar an Iconic Institution where from Dr. Kar had his graduation with English Honours. Then he took admission in Guwahati University and he obtained Master's Degree in English and subsequently, he did his Ph.D. from Assam University, Silchar.Dr. Dipankar Kar retired as Associate Professor and Head, Department of English from Gurucharan College where he served for more than 3 decades. He has in his credit to act as one of the Editors of the BI-LINGUAL translation works on the Language Movement of Barak Valley published by Shakespeare Society, Kolkata chapter. He has also contributed articles to the different ISSN journals and magazines and is privileged enough to edit a book entitled ‘REVISITED DICKENS: A COLLECTIONS OF ESSAYS’ published by Gutenberg Publication, Kolkata. At present, the author of this book Dr. Dipankar Kar is the Director of the well-known Ramanuj Gupta Degree College, Silchar, Assam.
