Battersea Power Station
The Battersea Power Station is a decommissioned power station in Battersea, London.
It was built in the 1930s and ceased operation in 1996. Filmmakers and television producers have utilized it as a film set and a shooting location for shows like The Bill and Inspector Morse.
Developers purchased the site with intentions to construct one of Europe’s largest residential developments. However, Wandsworth Council rejected the plans due to public protests regarding potential negative effects on local residents, particularly those living in close proximity who feared displacement. As a result, the project was abandoned.
The building now houses office space, apartments, and shops at ground level while its upper floors contain bars, restaurants, and cinemas above them!
Battersea Park
Battersea Park is the largest park in London, and it’s a popular place for recreation, relaxation, and entertainment. The park has more than 150 acres of land on which to play or relax. There are over 30 sports and football pitches, an outdoor swimming pool with a waterslide and other water features, two cinemas with nearby restaurants (and you don’t even have to pay admission), as well as playgrounds for kids aged between one-month-old until 12 years old (with lots of climbing equipment if necessary).
It also has gardens where you can sit down at tables under umbrellas while having lunch or dinner; places where people can enjoy themselves playing games like badminton; or just relax by themselves reading a book or listening to music from their smartphone!
Olympia Exhibition Centre
The Olympia Exhibition Centre is a large venue in Battersea, London, UK.
It replaced the old Olympia Theatre and was inaugurated on 20th March 2007 with a concert by James Morrison. The building comprises two halls, with the main hall seating 1,000 people and the option to partition it into two smaller halls, the larger one known as Astoria.
AHR Architects Ltd, who also designed the neighboring Arena Central development for Sport England, designed the building. The construction of the building cost £45 million. The Arena Central development occupies an entire city block at No 6 Lower Marsh Road, right next to it.

The festival features both local artists who perform on stage or sell their wares at stalls throughout the park, as well as international acts who come over from places like Germany or France for this event.
