Modern usage of the term “neurodiversity” often refers to a variety of disorders and learning difficulties, such as autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dysgraphia, and more.

Many Autistic speakers have discovered positive ways for neurodivergent people, such as developing exceptional math skills or displaying original creativity. However, these conditions are often associate with several difficulties, particularly when facing particular social and professional situations.

Neurodiversity and Mental Health

Any quality, such as being highly inventive or having a gift for math, can be valuable for some people if they have the chance to use it helpfully. However, some people may find it difficult to succeed in situations where there are social expectations due to their neurodivergent traits. Physical activities such as sports, drawing, etc can be difficult and many people will ignore it. People with this condition also have other disorders such as ADHD and autism. People with dyspraxia often face jokes or bullying. This can harm mental health

ADHD

One of the most well-known and misunderstood examples of neurodiversity is ADHD. Everyone experiences periods of failure to concentrate, deceived motor activity, or impulsive behavior. These episodes are much more severe, occur at higher rates, and affect relationships, learning, and employment more frequently for those with ADHD.

Some people with ADHD may mainly suffer from inattention symptoms, whereas others may generally experience hyperactive-impulsive symptoms. Some individuals might even have both.

Inattention is the inability to stay focused on the goal. This is a neurological issue, not a display of disobeying or a failure to understand the situation. A person who is frequently on the move, especially when it’s not appropriate, is said to be hyperactive. Everybody displays different types of hyperactivity, which may include excessive talking, trembling, or clicking.
