Pakistani cuisine and hostel lodging in China
For its students, almost all universities offer on-campus housing.
Many universities have separate dorms for boys and girls, but few also have common areas with distinct floors.
Hostel residents are expected to prepare their own meals because there are no mess facilities available.
Every hostel has a communal kitchen where guests can make meals.
There are washing machines in the Common Laundry facilities. They are free for students to use and benefit from.
All of the hostels are monitored by CCTV, and a warden or caretaker is present at all times.
Qualifications for MBBS in China
Students need to have passed the MDCAT.
The MDCAT requirements for different universities may vary.
The standard is usually 60% or more in 10+2 Grades (or much higher in top-ranked Universities).
The minimum age should be 17 years old.
Most universities interview or administer an online exam to candidates.
China’s MBBS Admission Procedure
Prior to 2019 (pre-COVID-19), there were typically over 10 applications for each available seat in Chinese colleges due to their high demand. Chinese universities were more selective, while the majority of foreign universities merely required an MDCAT qualification and a 50% score in the 12th grade.
To ensure that only the top candidates are accepted, they established higher MDCAT scores and grade criteria. Medical PG Option after MBBS in China
Pakistan Medical PG or PMDC
An MBBS student learns the value of specialization during their studies. They are also aware of how difficult it is to get an MD or MS seat at a government college. If we consider the 11% success rate for obtaining a PG in a government medical college In general, we may say that only 1 in 10 applicants will be selected for a postgraduate seat, whereas only 1 in 20 applicants will be selected for a clinical specialty. It is apparent that the PG trip would be very challenging; otherwise, students should have enough cash to secure a paid seat in a private medical college, which might cost millions of dollars!
Do you believe that the correct mentorship and early preparation will help you achieve your goal of becoming a specialist? The PMDC Exam will be introduced in Pakistan in 2023, as already announced by PMC. All Medical PG examinations in Pakistan will be replaced by this one. There will be two sections to the exam: PMDC-1 and PMDC-2.
The PMDC-1’s goal is to evaluate the student’s knowledge of pre-clinical, pre-clinical, and clinical subjects on a national level. Only medical students who have passed PMDC-1 will be qualified for internships. After completing their internship, students must take the PMDC-2 exam, which evaluates their clinical expertise, patient management, and medical record-keeping.
