The sun is also a source of great beauty and wonder, with sunrise and sunset being the most beautiful times of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because the sun is so useful and beautiful, it has appeared in many cultures and countless works of art, leaving many wondering how to draw a sun yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This step-by-step guide to drawing the sun will show you how!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Draw The Sun<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The first step of this How to Draw the Sun tutorial should be easy! All you need for this step is to draw a circle that will form the center of your sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this circle, try to ensure it is as close to a perfect circle as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The easiest way to do this is to use a tool like a drawing compass, as it’s easy to create a perfect circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t have a drawing compass handy, the next best option is to trace something round and flat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In this second part of your drawing of the sun, we’ll start drawing the sun’s rays coming out of the center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can stop drawing those rays now, you’re ready for the rest of this guide! To draw these rays, create a shape with curved lines on the sides that meet at a sharp point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That sharp point should point correctly every time. For this step, draw four rays: one at the top, one at the bottom, and one for the left and right sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it’s simpler, you can think of it as any ray at any point on a compass. Once you’ve drawn them, we’re ready to add more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We will add more rays for the next steps in this how-to draw a sun. After the previous step, you shouldn’t have any trouble drawing these rays!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember to make them point to the right as you draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this step, draw a ray to the right of the north ray. Then add one under the ray on the west side of the sun design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Now you know what to do to draw your sun! We will continue to add rays to the sun for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll only add two for now, and they’ll fill the space between the bottom ray and the one you drew on the left last time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other fills the space between the top spokes and the right one. Be sure to refer to the reference image if you get stuck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This fifth step of our guide on drawing the sun is separate from the previous steps, as we will continue to add two more rays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These rays go into the space in the upper left section of the sun, while the others go into the lower right section. This leaves a small gap on each page, but we’ll fill that in shortly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You probably already know where this is going! You can finally add the final rays to your sun for this part of your sun design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can imagine, they go to the last two squares left on your sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you’ve filled in those final spokes, you’ll want to add any additional details you want before moving on to the final step!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This can be a background, like a beautiful beach in the sun, or something fun, like sunglasses and a face in the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 7<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The sun is the brightest thing in our galaxy, so it seems right to use some nice bright colors for the final step of this sun drawing guide!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a step where you can unleash your creativity while coloring. You can create a beautiful burst of color for your sun and make it even more dynamic by using mixtures of reds, oranges, and yellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using colors to color can look cool with a picture like this. This can be anything from acrylics for a lighter finish to watercolors for a more muted look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colors would be especially nice for this image as you can mix and match colors to create a color mix for your sunshine. Pastel colors would also be great for this image, but whatever you use will look great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
