Author Info: Dr. Thattarathodi Raghavan is a Reader in the Department of English of the Sri Venkateswara Arts College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, a prestig¬ious TTD institution which rejected the autonomous status conferred on it by the UGC. He has been on its faculty since 1966. Dr. Raghavan is a rare specimen of an English teacher, as he fell in love with the English language and got wedded to it, severing his links with a colourful department of the Central government, i.e., Customs. Dr. Raghavan is a research supervisor recognized by the Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He has been an academic counsellor for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University as well as In¬dira Gandhi National Open University. He has also been a resource-person for the CIEFL, Hyderabad, being a member of its external faculty at present. Dr. Raghavan is interested as much in creative writing as in research and has quite a few publications to his credit.
