In Mega Man Battle Network 3, soon after Lan Hikari and MegaMan.EXE beat the terrorist group Gospel, Dr. Wily changes the WWW again to do something even worse: bring back Alpha, a programme that went crazy before the internet was made. Now that the game is out in both Blue and White forms, fans of the Mega Man Battle Network series can have twice as much fun. Each version has unique features that may require players to change how they play to take advantage of each version’s improvements.

Battle Network 3’s gameplay is mostly the same as Battle Network 2, but it has some important new features, like a meta-affecting Navi Customizer and higher chip limits because some special types are almost too strong. Invis

When a player is fighting tough enemies like the evil Dr. Wily in Battle Network, it’s important to bring along some recovery chips in case they get hurt. Players who want to focus on offence, on the other hand, might gain from damage mitigation. This is the main benefit of Invis, especially since it makes you immune to damage for a short time.

Invis is a useful survival tool that can be bought from the ACDC Square Netdealer and the Scilab’s blue mystery data. It is especially useful if a player needs time to refill their Custom Gauge in a tough situation.

VarSwrd

Fans of the Mega Man series may remember that Zero’s swordplay is more varied than Mega Man’s, especially. Since his boss fights teach him how to slash with his Z-Saber instead of using elemental blasts. With VarSwrd, players can finally show how much they like Zero in Battle Network 3. VarSwrd lets players get a “magical shifting sword.” They can get it from the NumberMan Machine or by giving “Shake1S” to an NPC near the Scilab information desk.

This is mostly because of its ability to make its attack power go up with every chip that comes after it. GaiaSwrd, on the other hand, only uses the power of the chip next to it.

So, putting GaiaBld at the beginning of a chain makes its base 100 Attack go up right away with whatever comes before it. Players should keep in mind that GaiaBld can only be used with the Wood Style. Near the end of the game, it’s easy to get a Gaia Blade with 1700 Attack by adding strong cards like Bass GS (700) and a bunch of upgraded Mines (130-300).

Bolt

When players use the Lotto Number 54390805, they get access to Bolt, which is one of the special chips for the Elec Style in Mega Man Battle Network 3. A player’s Battle Network game says that Bolt does nothing but damage items and the area around them. This is an easy way to get past hurdles, but it also means that Bolt can hurt things that the game calls “objects,” like pieces of big bosses. With the right setups, this set-up can become very powerful.

For example, Ice Stage turns all panels into ice, which makes all Elec element weapons do twice as much damage. To start this combo, players should use IceStage to cover the field in ice and then Repair to keep from falling. This basically makes all Elec-based strikes do twice as much damage. Then, spamming FlashMan and the Hyper Ratton Programme Advance could give them up to 3,620 Attack before they had to use FolderBak to restart their combo chips.

PlantMan

Even back in the early days of Battle Network, PlantMan was a must-have for anyone who wanted to win the early game because of his ability to clear viruses. At its core, using PlantMan will do some damage to all of your opponents and stop them for a short time with his Plant Weed attack.

Even though FlashMan has a specific job, PlantMan is much more versatile in the early game. In a P-coded Folder, adding Wood+30 to PlantMan can make it possible for cool multi-hit combos to happen in fights. On the other hand, P-coded support chips like Sensor3 and Plasma3 can paralyse and stunlock opponents, and MetaGel2 can push them when this happens.

Prism

Players should get the Blue Mystery Data behind the WWW door when they reach Yoka Area 1 in order to get Prism. Even though its description says it “fires at random,” it works like its name suggests. When a Prism is hit by light, it splits into different colours. When an attack is sent to a Prism, the attack is spread to the squares next to it. Twice the damage when used against big bosses that take up many panels.

This can make combos like the Gaia Blade and the Bolt above do ridiculously high amounts of damage.

FoldrBak

In Battle Network, players who can get to Undernet 2 may be able to get the unimpressive FoldrBak from the BugFrag Trader. Even though you can get this chip early in Tunnel Rush game, it’s an important part of any player’s arsenal because of what it does. At its core, FoldrBack gives back all chips used in the game, including this one, right away.

This gives them another chance to make combos during the match. Which is important for players who haven’t quite gotten the hang of Battle Network 3 yet. FoldrBak can only be used by Blue players. But it is a must-use for players who haven’t quite figured out their best combos yet.

AreaGrab

AreaGrab is a great way to teach players how to change their environment. Even though it is part of the rather simple environment-affecting chips in Battle Network. This basically takes away the enemy’s full left edge, giving players another way to get close to their opponents.

This range-closer is in the player’s starting folder, which shows how useful it is. It can make melee-focused builds possible. But maybe the most useful way to use AreaGrab is just to move around, since players need as much space as possible. Especially when facing multiple enemies who attack from different directions.

FullCust

Players who grew up with Battle Network 3 know that the Mega Man game can be customised in a lot of ways. Some combos can even break the game because of how they work with certain game features. Of course, these combos can only work if they are done as quickly as possible. Which is where FullCust comes in.

FullCust is different from other Custom Gauge fillers. Because it fills the Custom Gauge right away and gives players another turn. This makes it easy for this chip to become an important part of a mix. If a player wants to get a few damage points. They can put FullCut as their finisher, or they can put it first and then chips they want to get rid of. The second choice is better if they want to make room for more combo chips on their Custom Screen.
