Ranking All Minigames In Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 Royal’s minigames are an excellent way for players to pass the time.

Persona 5 Royal provides players with numerous activities to spend their leisure time, such as completing palaces, visiting mementos, and befriending confidants. While maintaining relationships or visiting the Metaverse may take up the majority of Joker’s time at various points in the story, developing Joker’s social stats is necessary to fully enjoy the game’s potential. Fortunately, increasing Joker’s knowledge, guts, proficiency, kindness, and charm can be as much fun as spending time with confidants by playing the minigames scattered throughout Tokyo.

The main game of Persona 5 Royal includes seven minigames. Joker has access to batting cages at Yongen-Jaya, fishing in Ichigaya, computer games in his room, and other activities. Every minigame has its own twists, strengths, and stat bonuses to entice players, although some are more advantageous overall than others.

Quiz Show

On select Thursdays in Persona 5 Royal, players can watch a quiz show inside Café Leblanc’s kitchen or Joker’s room. When Joker tunes in, he can earn a knowledge point if he correctly answers a multiple-choice trivia question, similar to when teachers call on him in class.

While the quiz show has simple gameplay and only appears 11 times in Joker’s phantom thief adventures, it is one of the few minigames that does not take up an entire afternoon or evening, making it worthwhile when it is available.

Fishing

The fishing minigame can be unlocked via reading a book about fishpond spotting or accepting Ryuji’s invitation to Ichigaya on 7/6. Joker can spend time at the lake using boilies to capture a variety of fish by paying 3,000 in the day or 1,000 at night.

Casting the line correctly and reeling in each capture requires finesse, and the minigame will terminate if Joker fails to pull in a fish while using the normal rod. However, if completed successfully, the minigame rewards Joker by increasing his proficiency and providing points that can be redeemed for fishing equipment, transmutation items, and accessories.

Retro Video Games

Joker may play video games in his room in the afternoon or evening after purchasing the CRT Television and Famidrive from a second-hand store in Yongen-Jaya. Aside from the game included with the Famidrive, Joker can purchase six additional games for between $3,200 and $5,600 each.

While retro video games are expensive to purchase and require multiple sessions to complete, they can help Joker improve each of his five social stats by presenting him with challenging and unique quick-time events. Every session rewards his efforts, and after completing a game, players can exchange proof of completion for useful accessories in Akihabara’s vintage gaming shop.

Batting Cages

After Joker reads the book he finds while cleaning his room, players in Yongen-Jaya can practise baseball at the batting cages next to the supermarket. Joker can only practise his swing at night at first, but after hitting three home runs, the cages will be open during the day as well.

While Joker can unlock six different courses at the batting cages, the beginner course costs 500 per session, making it an inexpensive way to earn up to two proficiency points early in the game. If Joker hits all of the baseballs thrown throughout a course or hits a home run, he will receive goods and accessories that will aid him in combat.

Crossword Puzzles

A crossword puzzle book will appear in the booths at Café Leblanc on certain nights, allowing Joker to complete one of the 38 crossword puzzles featured in Persona 5 Royal. While only the answer to the highlighted clue is required to end the minigame, completing the entire puzzle can be rewarding.

Each crossword solve boosts Joker’s knowledge by one point, however unlike Persona 5, the minigame does not take up an entire evening. Its significance may appear insignificant at first, but completing the puzzles is a pleasant, demanding, and valuable way for Joker to enhance his social stats because it allows him to explore other hobbies afterwards.

Billiards

Players at Kichijoji’s Penguin Sniper can spend 800 to invite the Phantom Thieves to a game of billiards. Although Joker’s performance in Geometry Dash Subzero game is primarily determined by his skill and the books he’s read about billiards, watching Joker aim his pool cue to perform impressive breaks and trick shots is rewarding.

The Phantom Thieves’ technical rating will improve depending on whether Joker successfully performs a trick shot for the first time in a game, allowing them to apply new skill combinations to down adversaries in battle while dealing more damage. Even if Joker fails, he will still receive a point for his bravery, proficiency, knowledge, or charm, and his friendship with the attending confidants will grow.

Darts

Aside from billiards, players can also enjoy a game of darts for 800 yen at Penguin Sniper in Kichijoji. Whether Joker and his pals are playing 301, 501, or 701, they take turns throwing darts and cheering each other on.

Inviting the other Phantom Thieves to play darts is critical for improving their baton pass levels with Joker and making them more useful allies in battle. It also deepens their bond with Joker and helps him enhance his proficiency. While winning darts requires precision, its immersive gameplay, low cost, and other benefits make it the best Persona 5 Royal minigame to spend time playing.

Persona 5 Royal is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
