Most diseases are actually caused, in fact, by too much care. Portulaca, more often than not, gets affected by the following pests and diseases- Root Rots, White Rust, Aphids. These may cause the plant to leave behind a sticky substance called Honeydew and cause black sooty growth which is actually a fungus.
