Author Info: Parmeshwari Dayal, Ph.D. in Social Work, is a retired Professor and Head of the Department of Social Work and a former Director of the Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Rural Management, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad. Earlier he taught at Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi. A great number of students have obtained Ph.D. degree under his guidance. He has directed research projects sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research [ICSSR], New Delhi and Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of India. Dr Dayalâs experience of working at Gandhian Institutes of national and international repute as well as at Khadi Gramudyog Vidyalaya, Wardha, has greatly contributed in his writing work. He has to his credit two books â Gandhian Approach to Social Work and Aftermath of War â which received overwhelming response. In addition to these, several of his articles on current issues have been published in Indian journals of repute. He is an acknowledged social scientist of India.
