Author Info: The author, Dr. V.K. Sinha, is a dermatologist (skin specialist) of long standing, practising in Patna, Bihar, India. He is a third-generation doctor of Patna, and from a family of doctors and lawyers among the male members of the family and professors and teachers among the ladies in the family. He did his schooling in one of the most prestigious schools of the state, St. Xavier’s High School, Patna. After completion of his school he went on to study in St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, again a very prestigious college of the erstwhile combined state of Bihar and Jharkhand, and the most prestigious college of the present state of Jharkhand. From there he went on to study in the then R.E.C. Srinagar, which has been upgraded to the level of an I.I.T. After a short stint there he left the college and then competed nationally and joined the Armed Forces Medical College, Poona.
