Samsung Galaxy S23: The Biggest Surprise is Price

Now it’s official: Samsung invites you to present the new Galaxy S23 series. We will show you when the flagship smartphones will be presented and what they offer. Of course, you can also be there live at the event.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will again consist of three devices. In addition to the normal Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus with a larger screen and the Galaxy S23 Ultra with better equipment and S Pen support. Many details about the new flagship smartphones are already known.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S23 PRESENTATION: THE DATE HAS BEEN SET

After being accidentally released too early by Samsung Colombia, the event invitation is now official. Samsung will present its new flagship smartphones at an “Unpacked Event.” This is to be presented on February 1st at 7 p.m.

The invitation features three green spotlights. This could allude to the three newly designed cameras on the back and the highlight color, “Botanic Green,” of the Galaxy S23 series. The motto “Get ready for the nights of your life” also points to a particularly good night photography camera.

TECHNICAL FEATURES OF THE NEW SMARTPHONES

The biggest highlight here in Europe should be the new processor. Samsung is using Snapdragon globally for the first time instead of fobbing off European users with technically inferior Exynos chips. The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be used worldwide in the Galaxy S23 series, with 8 gigabytes of RAM on the normal model and 12 gigabytes on the Ultra.

Also new: A 200-megapixel main camera is speculated for all three models. This is already in the new Xiaomi 12T Pro and is being developed by Samsung and Xiaomi.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S23: PRICES AND COLORS

For prices, you may visit Pricetrends.PK. In terms of design, Samsung will probably say goodbye to the distinctive “camera hill” this year. At least, this is what photos on the Korean news portal fm Korea show.

The high-resolution photos already show the new smartphones in all four colors. This year’s highlight color is called “Botanic Green, ” a rich natural green. As in previous years, Samsung’s online store may have more exclusive colors.

The prices could come as a shock to Pakistani buyers. Although no PKR prices are known yet, prices in the home country of Korea are said to be around 10 percent higher than last year. 

Again, it’s all about the camera

With all S23 models, Samsung promises high-quality selfies and installs a 12-megapixel snap on the front. For the S23 and the S23 Plus, this is an improvement of 2 megapixels, while the Ultra model loses 28 megapixels. Apparently, Samsung has admitted that as many megapixels as possible are not always the solution, but that other components also matter.

On the back, the separation between Ultra and the normal models becomes clear. S23 and S23 Plus get three cameras. The main camera works with 50 megapixels each, the ultra wide-angle camera with 12 MP and the telephoto lens with triple optical zoom with 10 MP.

The S23 Ultra offers four cameras; only the first telephoto lens and the ultra wide-angle camera share the device with the cheaper models. The main camera, on the other hand, works with 200 megapixels and a large sensor, and the second telephoto lens offers a tenfold optical zoom. Samsung emphasizes that great results can be achieved with the new camera, especially at night. With the “Astro Hyperlapse” function, the device should even be able to capture stars visibly.

The first reports confirm the outstanding performance of the camera quartet; a test will show whether we can confirm this.
